How Do I Create New Test Profiles to Test Type-C Cables with the Advanced Cable Tester?

Question from the Customer:

I am new to the Advanced Cable Tester and have used some of the default profiles. I have some custom cables that I would also like to test. How can I set up profiles for these new cables?

Response from Technical Support:

Thanks for your question! Standard test profiles are for common, known cable types – these profiles cannot be edited. However, you can easily create your own test profile for your specific test parameters.

There are two ways to do this:

Adding a new file:

You can Add New profile, and name it as you wish (the example above shows we named it Test)

1. Select the parameters you wish to test and enter the values for your cable design.

Copy and modify a file:

You can also clone an existing profile and then modify it.

1. Select a profile then Copy.
2. Edit the parameter(s) to fit the parameters of your cable.
